I had the most amazing long weekend ever.
For the record though, Anika doesn’t have a yaya pa din and there’s classes na tomorrow. I will take a leave of absence sa work sana tomorrow however, it’s my turn to present my monthly report to ManCom bukas. Halos masiraan na ako ng bait sa stress but good thing LT agreed to accompany Anika to school for the week. I feel very kampante already. When Faye was still young and studying in CSA too, LT went with her the whole time. Crossing my fingers for that.
Anyways, I was supposed to tell you about what we did this weekend in chronological order. However, due to insistent public demand (may ganown?!), I’ll tell you first about the beautiful resort that we discovered yesterday. Chamba to the highest level talaga.
Last week kasi, when I learned about this sunod sunod na walang pasok, I asked Alvin if we can go to the beach. Alvin said na wag na daw because we’ll be going na to Davao for our anniversary. I told him this is different kasi kasama si Anika and this beach trip will be good for her also since she has asthma na.
ALVIN: Hay naku Babe. Mahina na naman ang 10k na gastos diyan.
ME: What 10k?! We’re not spending 10k for an overnight beach trip.
Alvin raised his eyebrows at me
ALVIN: Ikaw pa.
I swear. I dunno why people keep on insisting na magastos ako.
Including the food.
ALVIN (smirking): Osige.
Days passed and I haven’t found any resort yet.
But that’s the cheapest they have daw for this weekend.
Alvin kept on following up if I found na a resort. My answer was always no.
Saturday night I conceded na. I had no other choice. If I want to stick to my budget, public resort na ito.
I slept na didn’t think about it anymore. I thought, it’s okay na if we don’t push through with the trip. Di bale na lang.
Imagine my surprise when Alvin woke us up at 6am yesterday. Alvin never wakes up that early, even in a weekday, except when he’s going to play golf. Magbeach daw kami. Day trip na lang. I asked where and he told me we’ll look for one na lang daw along the way.
I was so happy!!!!!
We went to Laiya, Batangas and planned to look for a resort there.
They ask for Php 20 na pala per person in Batangas ano? Tourism Ecological chenes.
Akala ko kurakot. Di naman pala. They’ll give you a receipt.
After two unsuccessful tries in resorts, we chanced upon the Virgin Beach Resort.
For the day trip, their rates were: Php 1,100/person (inclusive of lunch) + Php 1,650 for the rental of the Parasol. Total bill was Php 3,850. Anika was free. Initially they were charging Php 750 kay Anika for the food. I told them that Anika doesn’t eat that much. Sayang naman so they didn’t charge us na for her anymore.
That was the cheapest rate we found so gorabelles na kami.
When we arrived at the beach, we were amazed!
OMG. The beach was beautiful! The sand was white and hindi siya crowded! As in wala masyadong tao ha!
Alvin and I couldn’t stop taking photos.
The staff were very nice and helpful. They were all pleasant and polite. I swear lahat talaga sila mababait!
This is their dining hall.
Outfit of the day
Our rented Parasol looked like this.
You can bring food and drinks inside the resort. That explains the cooler there. The Parasol is located at the beach front.
This is our Parasol near this pretty tree.
Alvin pulled the lounge chairs and table under the tree so the space became ours na.
We loved it there so we considered staying overnight. Pwede daw yun sa Parasol. They’ll just put in a mosquito net and an electric fan. If we were to stay overnight, eto ang magiging damage: Php 1,600/person (inclusive of lunch, dinner and breakfast) + Php 3,400 rental of the Parasol. The total bill will be Php 6,600.
Pwede na right?
We decided na to stay overnight except that I forgot pala Anika’s antibiotics na medicine. She can’t miss taking it so we had to go home na lang.
It was fine because sulit na kami for the whole day.
The lunch served was delicious. As in masarap talaga compared to the resorts there with inclusive meals sa fee.
Virgin Beach Resort also offers Cabanas and Casitas if you like to have your own rooms. Check out na lang their website.
The common toilets there were clean.
This is the common bath area. Mga 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 meters yung area. Enough space for one person. No hot water. And besides, the water coming out of the shower is warm =)
We just lounged by the beach front the whole day kaya eto, black beauty na naman ang peg ko =)
ME: Babe picturan mo ako. Pero yung malayo ha? Para hindi masyado kita na mataba ako.
ALVIN: Osige ba! Nakikita mo yung yatch na yun?
ME: Yea, why?
ALVIN: Magswimming ka na dun dali. Malayo yun.
ANIKA: Nanay, you go there! You go to Bicol! That’s malayo!
Napakasupportive! Hanep.
Ingat lang guys sa beach. It’s different from Boracay. Here biglang lalim.
I highly suggest you try the Virgin Beach Resort for a day trip. Overnight kasi medyo mahalia na with the prices of the Cabanas and Casitas ranging from Php 6,500 to Php 10,000 per night.
But if you’re going to ask me about the place, it’s really beautiful and peaceful. The staff are very nice and helpful. The food’s delicious. Overall okay talaga siya =)
Enjoy your week guys!!!
