On Christmas Eve, we went and checked out Batirol inside Camp John Hay after breakfast.
We took advantage of the scenery for our outfits of the day:
Our matching Elin tops are super cute.
Behind the Batirol Restaurant is a big garden where you can go around and explore. Kami nagexplore and nagpapicture ng nagpapicture =) Lol.
I am very thankful that Alvin and Anika are very close. Daughters need their daddies for security and to have somebody to peg for their future partners.
Nainggit ako. I said sali ako then they made me pose like that and then sila ganyan. Hehe.
Wowa sat na in the restaurant. While waiting for our orders, Alvin, Anika and I went around pa more.
Anika loved playing there because she was pretending that she was hiking and mountain climbing. I was getting nervous because the ground was a bit wet. I was scared she might slip and fall. Alvin was able to capture how agitated I was. Hahaha. And true enough, Anika fell nga!
“Anak, please be careful going down.”
“Don’t run. I said be careful.”
“Anak, dahan dahan lang. Aatakihin ako sa puso sayo.”
And then she fell!
Hay naku talaga. Kay kulit. But like they always say, okay na ang makulit because it means they’re feeling well compared to quiet kasi may dinaramdam. Right?
Now let’s go to Chocolate de Batirol.
Choco-late de Batirol is the most awarded and recognized garden-restaurant located in Igorot Park, Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
They served delicious hot chocolate, I have been told.
It takes a while for the orders to be brought to your table so talagang mapapa-order ka ng hot choco muna. Bonding muna kami while waiting for our orders.
To tell you the truth, the hot choco is masarap nga (hot and thick) but not as delicious as I have expected it to be. Parang normal na masarap lang. I feel that my expectation on the taste rose with the hyped up comments that I heard from other people. Masarap, yes but it’s not that fantastic. Wala masyadong difference from the other hot chocolate that I’ve tasted.
I think, nakakadagdag lang sa pagkasarap niya is the feeling that you’re sipping the hot choco amidst the trees while enjoying the nice weather of Baguio.
We also tried the suman which Wowa liked.
We also ordered Bibinka. Di ko masyadong type because ang rough ng texture when inside my mouth. I like the Bibinka of Via Mare better.
Next time, maybe we’ll try their meals naman. When we were there, the food being served to the other customers looked delicious!
