Hey hey hey!!!
So sorry I have not updated here since I arrived. Okay naman akish. I do not have jetlag.
Our plane landed at 3:30 am in NAIA. We were 30 minutes early. I didn’t know pwede pala mangyari yung sa Pinas. Good job. Anyway, I got agit ng slight because ang tagal lumabas ng luggage ko. I thought nawawala na naman.
Finally I saw the balikbayan box na may hearts hearts.
Mine yun =)
Thank you Joseph for helping me pack it like that.
Alvin was already outside the airport when I came out. Perks of living 10 minutes away from NAIA.
When I got home, Anika was getting ready na. I took a bath and brought her to school. I went to the office afterwards and worked the whole day. Thankfully, my meeting ended early so I went home na and by 530pm, I was already asleep. I woke up at 5am feeling refreshed. I love it. No jetlag for me.
Anyway, I have often mentioned that I love how Arnaiz organized her house in Los Angeles. Even when she was still living here in Manila, I could see how OC she was with her things. She has a place for everything para efficient. That is just how she is. So the OC in me really loved her house. Maganda ang systema niya sa bahay niya. Everthing has its place. Ang gaganda ng house gadgets niya. Given that they do not have househelp in America, tamang tama na ganyan si Arnaiz. It keeps her organized and it prevents her from getting stressed. You should see her cleaning gadgets. Mamamangha kayo. It’s so high tech. It’s a little more expensive than normal mops and brooms pero lighter siya and it helps Arnaiz clean the whole house easier.
One day, Arnaiz caught me going around her house with a camera on hand. Ano ba daw ang ginagawa ko?! I told her I’m talking photos of the kakaiba stuff that she has in her house and I want to blog about them. Loka loka daw ako. Hahahaha!
Lemme start with their TV cable. They have 8 HBO channels and they’re all in demand! Meaning, whatever movie it is that is showing, you can pause, rewind and forward the movie. How cool is that?! And then, you also have the option to watch any HBO movie that is showing on that day.
Naku mga bakla, napuyat talaga ako kakawatch ng mga movies!
Arnaiz also has these cute little Tabasco bottles. She said she got it as a giveaway in one of the restaurants that they went to. I forgot to get some for Alvin.
Arnaiz’s house is very child friendly. She has these locks for her drawers so that her son can’t open them. She got these from Ikea.
Next, look at her changing table necessities. I told you she has a place for everything. Even that long tissue at the side, she has that in her kitchen, bathroom and diyan nga sa changing table. In my house, I have one like that in my kitchen which only the guests can use. If ako or the house help, we use our kitchen towels para hindi mabilis maubos yung tissue. Hahahaha.
On top of the guest powder room, Arnaiz has this crate. Okay the idea di ba? We can store the towels here for the guests.
Eto winner. Maghahanap talaga ako nito sa SM. Nice her lalagyan of the coasters. I bought those small glass coasters too at Ikea.
I want to get also a Raskog cart also from an Ikea reseller here. I’ll put it in the kitchen and in Anika’s room for her small toys and other eklavers. See that parang cartoon character with teeth on top of the pile? Lalagyan yan ng food of her son like cheerios and cereals. The teeth are rubberized and soft. The child’s hand can go inside to get the pieces of snack without everything making tapon all around. She brings that with them when we go out. Nilalagyan niya ng snacks sa loob and she just hands it to her baby when he’s hungry. Bakit ba hindi ko naisip bilhan si Anika niyan dati?
I love this chalkboard on her cabinet.
Every corner of Arnaiz’s house has like this.
They don’t have kasi a yaya there so there’s nobody to really make tutok sa bata. Pero for me, regardless if you have a nanny or none, best to put these for safety.
I am loving their Keurig coffee maker too!
Dati masaya na ako sa 3-in-1 but after drinking this coffee for a week, I fell in love. Mahalia ba itey ditey?
Check out her foil wrap rack. I wanted to bring it home.
Her onions, garlic and other veggies lalagyan are so cute too!
This is where she washes the dishes.
One of her cupboard doors has a cork board. The red and yellow thingy at the upper left side are chopping boards. I wanted to buy and bring home that thing on your lower right. Yun sampayan ng rag and lalagyan ng cleaning things? Ang bigat nga lang so I just bought the corner scrub holders that you see inside the sink. Hahahaha!
Nice also the idea of the storage of the wine glasses. Ang dami kong wine glasses and they’re taking up space in my cupboards. Hahanapan ko nga yan ng location in my kitchen.
So there. Next time, I’ll show you naman the things I bought in the US. I have yet to unpack my balikbayan box =) Stay tuned!
