I have to tell you guys about Hatchimals.
Anika told me to buy it when I went to the United States of Diyamerika. I had no idea what it was. She just told me that it was a toy.
A few days before I flew to US, I messaged Pineda and Arnaiz about it. Sold out na daw ang Hatchimals in the States. As in they were looking for one for Maeko but they can’t find it anywhere. My competitive streak kicked in. I have to find one for Anika kasi rare pala ang toy na itey! It must be good!
However, to manage her expectations, I told Anika about the Hatchimals being sold out. This is also so that she won’t think na hindi ako nageffort maghanap if ever I was not able to find one.
To make the long story short, Arnaiz brought me to Target on my first day and we saw one last Hatchimal toy.
One. last. piece.
Tsk. Patay. Vivian messaged me pa naman if I can get one for Addie too. But there was only one piece left.
I didn’t think twice. Nagkandarapa ako. I got it na. Hindi ko agad agad na-check yung price.
Nung nasipat ko na, sixty effing dollars?!?!?!
Three thousand pesosesesesessss!
Anong klaseng toy ito?! Diyosmiyo.
The lady at Target said that the price of the Hatchimal toys went up to as high as $200 last Christmas.
Apart from expensive, hassle din siya.
I had to hand carry the Hatchimal because I was afraid baka madurog yung 3,000 ko, este, yung toy ni Anika.
When Anika saw the Hatchimal toy, yung hinayang ko sa binayaran ko went away. She was really very, very happy when she saw it. Kulang na lang maluha luha siya sa tuwa.
My hinayang went back when Anika opened the box.
So ganito yang Hatchimal toy na yan ha.
You open the box and get the egg inside.
In 25 minutes, the Hatchimal inside the egg will light up and move. Manginginig yung egg. At first scary. Muntikan ko na matapon yung itlog kung hindi ko lang naalala na three thousand pesos siya.
And then the egg will crack. All this time, you have to rub the egg. Rub lang ng rub. It will help daw the egg to hatch.
ALVIN: Kailangan yata limlingan yan.
I thought, since 3,000 pesos nga siya, i-eemote nung Hatchimal yung sarili niya out of the egg. Like any normal feathered baby animal di ba?
When the egg cracks, the hatchimal will stop moving. You will have to be the one to peel off the egg and get the hatchimal out of it.
You will have to peel the egg off. Parang balot lang.
It will look like this.
And then ganun lang, pull the Hatchimal out.
Ganyan na siya.
I was really disappointed. Though sa sobrang mahal niya, I didn’t expect naman the Hatchimal to save the Earth or something. I just expected more. Three thousand pesos talaga siya eh.
Sa awa ng Diyos, the Hatchimal is now is just there inside Anika’s room.
25 minutes lang yung Php 3,000 ko =/
You are supposed to teach the Hatchimal how to eat, talk etc.
Parang Tamagochi nung panahon natin.
But waley. Deadmadela na ang toy.
Hay. The things we get for our kids. Eh sa empty Balikbayan box, tuwang tuwa na talaga sila eh.
Di ba?! =)
