Before I went to sleep last night, bigla kong naisip that I don’t shop that much anymore.
I used to go shopping weekly. I shop for clothes, shoes and kung ano ano pa for me and Anika. Magastos. However, starting last November when I got sick, I lost the gana to shop. That’s how you will know I’m really sick. Kahit ayain mo ako or ilibre mo ako ng shopping, ayaw ko. Diyan nagsimula mag-alala ang Alvin. Hahahaha!
Anyway, what I want to discuss here now is, ano ba yung mga sa tingin ko dapat natin paggastusan, to splurge on or ano yung mga worth it bilhin. Reminder though mga bakla, everything that you will read here is my opinion only ha? Hahaha!
So first, I believe you shouldn’t scrimp on food. Hindi ako nagtitipid sa pagkain, guys. I eat what I want to eat. I experienced kasi before nung medyo purita avila pa ako, tipid mode when eating. When I say purita avila, as in minimum wage earner ang peg. Ganun. Now that medyo gumanda na ang work, I am grateful that I can afford to eat in restaurants that I like.
Next, I spend on our insurances. May kinakaltas na portion in my salary for Alvin, Anika and my health card. Okay lang yun for me because ang laking pakinabang talaga ng health card. Also, I got life insurance for me and Alvin from Pineda. Ito yung sa AXA. I got Anika din yung investment chervaloo that I was telling you about. She will get a specific amount of money after how many years. Pwede gamitin for tuition. And if ever ma-deadz ako (knock on wood), AXA will continue to pay for it until sa maturity nung investment. All of that, I pay for monthly.
Next, I spend on trips/staycations for quality time namin nina Anika and Alvin. It’s a way for us to spend time together kasi everyday para lang kaming robot sa routine: work-school-eat-sleep. Like for example, this month is our wedding anniversary. Kahit tipid mode ako now, I booked us an out of town trip. Gumawa ako ng paraan for this anniversary getaway because what is money if the heart is empty? Charot. Lelz.
Sa material things na might be pricey to some pero for me sulit, ito naman.
For clothes, I invest on key pieces: good pair of pants, white shirts, nice office attire for special occasion, a good watch etc etc.
My go to tops now is the Myka Limchoc tops. Ang lakas maka-donya eh.
Like this sleeveless top that I wore to the office.
Hahahaha! Nagbibiro lang noh pero super funny.
Here are the other Myka Limchoc tops that I like.
I wear them in the office and during weekends. I wear these tops when I want to look nice pero tamad ako magisip ng outfit.
Next, of course, clothes pa din. I invested on this red Florence Fling ballerina dress.
Sa akin, kuripot talaga ako deep inside so investment na yan for me. Hahahaha!
I love that dress. If they will sell that again in other colors, I will buy. I love the pockets. I love the fit. Most of all, I love how I feel when I wear it. Ang lakas niya maka-happy and pretty. Like a jowa, you need clothes that can make you feel that way in your life.
Next, are bags. I believe in investing in good quality bags that I can give to Anika as pamana. In emergency cases also na if ever mangailangan ng money (knock on wood), pwede ko din sila mabenta in a good price as long as alaga sila.
Hahaha. I took that photo to endorse Vivian’s super funny blog post about simpleng yabang.
For bags, I recommend the Tory Burch nylon bag. Mahal siya pero sulit because one, it doesn’t get dirty agad because of the nylon material. If you are burara like me, you will need this bag in your life if gusto niyo bumili ng medyo high end. Hindi nakakatakot gamitin. Second, it’s very roomy. You can put in there your whole cabinet.
For shoes, I bought a lot of white Keds. They’re versatile. I wear them to the site and I wear them whenever I travel. It goes well with any outfit. Keds is perfect.
Next, I love my Tory Burch flats. Before getting that, I never wore closed shoes na flats. I don’t like the feeling of my feet being enclosed in leather. Sumasakit. Pero when Wowa got them for me, napaka-sarap suotin. They’re my only flat shoes and I wear them everywhere. Napaka-mahal nga lang, hindot na yan. But it can add class agad in a very simple outfit. Sulit. If you are to splurge on a pair of shoes, I recommend this pair AND the YSL tributes.
Next, I highly suggest you get a Yumbox for your kids’ baon.
Yan talaga super okay because it helps you manage the portions. Food don’t spill also to other compartments kahit ma-sarsa siya. You can personalize it too so super duper cute talaga.
And if you are getting a Yumbox, get na din the lunchbox made for it. Hahaha! I got this from ESHEARTPH in Instagram. Sakto the size of the Panino Yumbox inside.
Yan na muna for the meantime. Of course, I didn’t mention anymore the obvious things that you should not be guilty spending on like your kids’ education, an investment property or a good massage.
Let’s see if I can do this recommending nice things regularly. Ang fun din eh. I’m such an enabler kasi. Lelz.
Osha, happy weekend guys! Lemme know if you have other suggested finds =)
