For as long as I can remember, my dad has been working abroad. He was one of the country managers of an airline company. This meant that he was always assigned to different countries. When he was still with the airline company, he was able to go home often, sometimes twice a month pa. So even without the technology that we have now like viber, Facebook or Facetime, we don’t miss him that much because he comes home regularly. Thanks to his airline benefits.
However, when he retired from that airline company and stayed in Europe which was his last assignment, dumalang na yung uwi niya because mahal ang pamasahe sa plane. His first year was the most difficult one for me. I was used to him going home often. The most difficult was this particular Christmas when he told us that he couldn’t go on leave because he was still new sa work.
I remember feeling really, really sad. Emote levels.
I was preparing to drag myself to go through the Christmas holidays without him. Hindi same ang Christmas when you don’t spend it with your loved ones.
Come Christmas Eve, I was really down.
So imagine my surprise at around 7pm yata yun, a car parked outside our house and out came my dad!!!!
Tuwang tuwa talaga ako!
He was able to book a flight the last minute. He didn’t inform us anymore because he wanted to surprise us.
It was the best surprise ever!
I learned that we shouldn’t take things for granted talaga. I thought about the families who spend Christmas away from each other. It’s really not the same. May lungkot factor. So guys, cherish the time spent with one another ha? Swerte na kasi kayo if complete kayo pagPasko =)
Speaking of suprises, check out Puregold’s Panalong Sopresa Ngayon Pasko video.
Ate Vi and Lucky for the win!!!!!!!
Wala pa din kupas si Ate Vi! =) I love their mom and son tandem. When I have a son, I wish ganyan din kami =)
MagPuregold na tayo mga mare. I have seen their Christmas packages and complete na complete na ang mga rekado that we need for Noche Buena.
Advanced Merry Christmas, guys!
