Whenever Mish and Sab of Mothers Who Brunch invite me to their events, I get excited to attend because I know for sure there will be good food. This get together, as usual, exceeded my expectations.
I got the event invite from Mish and Sab the day of my surgery. The event will be two weeks and I said yes right away even though I wasn’t sure if I can go out na already by that time. Lelz.
Since mind over matter ang peg ko, I was able to drive to Greenhills from Paranaque on that day. Mind you that, for two weeks, I was stuck in the house, recuperating. I was so bored but I didn’t dare leave the house yet that time because mahirap na mabinat. But on that day, I felt great. Walang masakit (masyado). Driving was a breeze. Walang problema. I just took a mental note to make sure to be seated 90% of the time dun sa event. Hahaha! Bawal pa kasi ako tumayo, otherwise, Alvin will get really mad if something happens to my sutures.
Ganyan ako ka-excited to go to this event because Mish and Sab told me good things about this special brand that for sure will save my life.
It was the launch of Auntie Arnie’s.

This beautiful set up greeted me when I entered Maria Maria restaurant.
Everything was there! It showcased the different variants of the ready to eat Auntie Arnie’s products. I also saw some spreads and sauces. Gusto ko na agad i-try because they look good!
To be able to get to know each other, they asked us who is/are our Auntie Arnie.
Mish and Sab said that each of us has an Auntie Arnie. Our Auntie Arnie is someone who knows exactly which dishes you like in whatever mood you’re in. He or she has a legendary cooking skills that instilled some of your nicest and greatest memories in the dining table.
When it was my turn, I told them that I will be speaking in Tagalog. Everyone spoke in English eh. Sabi ko I cannot English because I just had surgery. My incision might bleed. Lelz.
I told them that my Auntie Arnie is Wowa. Not only because she cooks really well (unlike me na nakakasunog pa ng Adobo lang), but also because, she’s a hard core full time beautiful working mother. As a working mom myself, nahihirapan ako magwork, magpaganda and magasikaso ng everything all at the same time. Kaya napabayaan ko na talaga ang thought of cooking. I have very little time left to learn.
I wanna share something personal with you guys.
One thing that I regret the most is not being able to cook for my family. I don’t know how to explain it to you but please believe me that I tried. I tried to cook. I tried to be that kind of a domesticated woman. Pero mga bakla, I promise, ayaw niya talaga sa akin. Cooking and I do not match. It frustrates me to a point that I sometimes cry. Except for the Tuyo Pasta that I have perfected over 9 years (and which only has like 2 ingredients), wala na akong maluto na maayos without anyone’s help to a point that I have given up. I have given up pero I feel so guilty about it.
Imagine my happiness when we were all introduced to Auntie Arnie’s easy to prepare dishes.
Auntie Arnie’s has 6 variants.
Mish and Sab showed us how easy it was to prepare these dishes.
Mish put the Paella Negra in the microwave and timed it for 7 minutes. After that, she took it out and ganyan na siya.
Sab placed the frozen Callos on the pan and heated it for less than 10 minutes.
Pagkatapos, ganyan na siya.
I mean, do you know how long it takes to make Callos from scratch? Sure I don’t know how to cook but I know Callos takes a lot longer than 10 minutes to cook.
The frozen Orange Chicken was placed inside the Air Fryer for less than 10 minutes. Paglabas, ganito na siya.
Now, if you will ask me about how they taste like, emergerd mommies, hindi mo akalain less than 10 minutes mo lang ginawa sa sarap.
I ate the Barbecue Chicken and it tastes like it just came out of the barbecue pit. It’s so smokey, malasa and delicious! Promise, it’s so good! This is my favorite among all of the variants.
And then I tasted the Paella Negra. Mish and Sab served it with the Aioli sauce and it was so good too! I ate it with the Callos. Ang galing ng combination, men. Napaka-sarap.
Pasensya na ha? Puros delicious and so good ang nagagamit kong mga adjectives! Hahaha! Kaya hindi ako nagaattempt maging food blogger due to lack of food adjectives in my vocabulary.
Here are the things why I love Auntie Arnie’s ready to eat packs:
(1) They’re delicious and they taste as if they were made from scratch and cooked right then and there.
(2) They have no preservatives! The cooked potluck packs are blast frozen immediately kaya no need for preservatives na.
(3) They’re very easy to prepare. You can either put in inside the microwave or on the pan to heat it. It takes only almost 10 minutes to heat and serve it.
(4) They have a shelf life of 6 months inside the freezer so you can store them for emergency use.
(5) They saved me!!! I can “cook” quality ulam because of Auntie Arnie’s. Wala lang maniwala na I actually cooked them from scratch but who cares! Hahaha! The most important thing is that I am able to prepare something nutritious, tastes great and is prepared with love.
Hindi na ako magiging taga grocery lang…
Or taga set lang ng table…
It’s amazing. Fate heard my concerns and decided to help me out by introducing Auntie Arnie’s to me. My fellow mommas (both those who can cook or cannot cook) was very happy!
Auntie Arnie’s can be your emergency go to dishes. Ito yung tipong if you’re too lazy to cook or too lazy to even think about what to cook, get Auntie Arnie’s in the fridge. If you forgot to do the groceries and wala na kayong ulam, get Auntie Arnie’s in the fridge. If you suddenly have visitors and hindi ka prepared, get Auntie Arnie’s in the fridge. If your husband is threatening to leave you because you don’t know how to cook, get Aunite Arnie’s in the fridge then isampal mo sa kanya.
Charot. I got carried away.
For the record, you might misinterpret, hindi naman ganyan ang asawa ko. Okay lang na hindi ako marunong magluto, as long as marunong ako itawag siya ng masahe and Grab. Hehehe. Lambing niya na lang yun.
