One of the restaurants we have recently tried is Bom Gosto! in One Ayala in Makati. From the outside, the restaurant’s interior looked very fancy. Akala mo fine dining so it was kind of intimidating. However, in front, there was a poster for their lunch sets. Php 495 per set includes an appetizer, an entree and 1 glass of iced tea.
Anika and I were wary trying the lunch set because the lunch sets of the similar restaurants were para talagang tinipid in terms of size, presentation and taste. Nakakadisappoint. If you like a more delicious entree, you would have to add to the price. Aabutin ka pa din ng 700 to 800 per set.
We were pleasantly surprised when we ate here the first time because (1) masarap yung food, in fairness. Second, hindi tinipid yung serving. Third, the drink that comes with their sets is really good. Hindi siya iced tea na parang isang drum na ng ice ang natunaw dun. May quality dito sa Bom Gusto! up to their drinks.
And so we ate there again last weekend with Wowa.
Anika ordered their pumpkin soup. I don’t know what happend that day but the timpla was kinda in the salty side. The one we had the first time, super sarap. However, kahit na medyo maalat, it was still good for me
I ordered the Spinach Croquetas. This was really okay for me. The dip was normal but the combination was good.
Wowa order the Salmon Salad. It was delicious however I was surprised by the portion. Medyo maliit but it was refreshing.
I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta. This tasted bland. Promise. I asked for salt, pepper and cheese. After, sumarap siya ng bongga. Ako pala ang kulang. Charot.
Wowa had this Mushroom Asparagus Risotto. This also tasted bland but with salt and pepper, it became tasty.
Anika order the Roasted Pork with Chorizo Rice and Chimichurri sauce. This was was a winner. Malasa. Anika finished it.
A meal is not a meal without dessert. I ordered a strawberry dessert. Inside there was a pound cake and a strawberry confit surrounded it. Maasim yung strawberries. Hindi siguro in season kasi. There was also ice cream under that whipped cream. It was okay lang. Nothing special that much except for the gold things that were were super curious to taste. Wala naman lasa hahaha!
Maybe next time we’ll try the food outside the lunch sets. The waiting staff and other personnel were very nice. The customer service was above average. They were happy, communicative and efficient. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The restroom was also aethetically decorated and was clean.
That’s it. Maybe we’ll try Bom Gosto! again next time and not get the lunch sets. We’ll try their normal menu =)
